"The 36" Fence Hog® we purchased recently is working great. We have been working on a project for DuPont, 7500' or 7'9 Ga. I had all the wire made in 100' rolls to cut splicing time in half. But the real time savings is in the rolling out and stretching. Specs called for intermediate braces every 500' up in less time with the Fence Hog® than it would take us to do 150' by hand.
The "hog hangers" are a real life saver in that you don't have to worry about the fabric falling down behind you, and it also makes it easier to stretch.

Mobile Mud Hog®
A+ Quality Fence and Deck, Inc. originally purchased our Mobile Mud Hog® from EZ Grout to help install approximately 5,000 linear feet of 8' tall pre-cast concrete fence, which we contracted to install at Maxwell Gunter AFB here in Montgomery, AL. The pre-cast concrete fence requires setting post every 5', requiring a footing consisting of almost 4 cubic feet of concrete. This fence is being installed in a sodded area and a Redi-Mix concrete truck would do extensive damage to the landscape, which would have to be repaired at our expense. Using the Mobile Mud Hog® enabled us to keep our skid steer right against the fence line, resulting in very little turf damage and minimal repair expense.
We used the Mobile Mud Hog® on another project at Maxwell Gunter AFB. We installed approximately 6,500 linear feet of 6' tall chain link fence on the west perimeter of the base.
Some areas were accessible only by foot and materials had to be hand carried in. The Mobile Mud Hog® mixed and carried our concrete as far as the skid steer could take it. We then dispensed the concrete into 5 gallon buckets to be hand carried into the woods. It would have been prohibitively expensive to have Redi-Mix truck waiting for us to unload them with 5 gallon buckets, and would have cost a lot more in terms of labor to mix by hand.
The Mobile Mud Hog® performs flawlessly, having mixed approximately 130 cubic yards of concrete so far...more than paying for itself by saving A+ Quality Fence and Deck, Inc. money in 3 ways:
1. Saving the expense of paying hourly rates to Redi-Mix companies to have their drivers wait for us.
2. Saving the cost of payroll to have employees wait for Redi-Mix trucks.
3. Substantially saving on labor hours to hand-mix concrete.
We looked at 3 or 4 other brands before purchasing our Mobile Mud Hog® and concluded that the Mobile Mud Hog® would best suit our needs. After mixing and dispensing 130 cubic yards of concrete with our Mobile Mud Hog®, we now know it was the perfect choice.
